The Northern Housing Awards celebrate the individuals and organisations making a real difference to homes and communities across the North of England. Being shortlisted for Technology Partner of the Year is a recognition of the impact our tools are having on how housing providers manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) and support their residents.
A Partnership That Breaks New Ground
Our shortlisting is based on work we have delivered in partnership with Berneslai Homes and a local council, where we developed bespoke case-transfer functionality within our ASB App platform. This pioneering feature enables seamless case handover between organisations, preserving full case histories and ensuring complete information continuity — eliminating the duplication of effort that often comes with multi-agency working.
The result is the first arrangement of its kind, in which a housing provider and a local council use our services in tandem. Residents continue to use the same familiar reporting tools regardless of which agency is handling their case, while officers benefit from shared intelligence, complete case visibility, and the ability to make well-informed decisions quickly.
Technology That Puts Residents First
At the heart of this work is a commitment to making ASB reporting accessible to everyone in the community — whether they live in social housing, private rental accommodation, or owner-occupied homes. Our ASB App allows residents to capture real-time evidence through voice recordings, videos, diary entries, and photographs, breaking down the barriers that often prevent people from coming forward. The ASB Respect Line ensures that support is available out of hours, so residents are never left to face ASB alone.
The recognition is a testament to the hard work of everyone at CMSG, and to the ambition of our partners who continue to push the boundaries of what collaborative ASB management can look like.

The Northern Housing Awards are held annually to shine a light on innovation, excellence, and partnership across the Northern housing sector. The 2026 ceremony takes place on 21st May at The Kimpton Clocktower, Manchester.
